    All my previous phones got warm when on a long call.

    Yeah same. Honestly, this is to be expected. You're drawing more current from the battery and simultaneously requiring the radio chipset to use higher transmit power when you're in a low signal area.

    When in low signal area, you're gonna both feel it get warmer faster, and use up more battery. Same applies for data. It's that simple.

    You can warm up Pre with light talk time ,
    and can make it a hot grill
    if you use any of the following combination.

    SPRINT TV
    SPRINT Navigation
    EMAIL Sync Sequence
    YouTube Video

    Also while using Navi and charging in the car made the phone hot.
