Default Aol email

Alright, I'm trying to add my aol email to the pre's email client but everytime I try and add it it says my credientials are wrong(or something to the effect)well... They aren't I tried it in the normal web browser and they work fine and I know everything is typed correctly... I have to enter a outgoing address which would be smtp.aol.com but it still says my credentials are wrong... Any ideas? Thanks

My AOL email is working fine. I didn't have to do any manual set up. I just went to "Add Account" and simply typed in my AOL email address & password and all worked fine.

I just checked my AOL settings and this is what I see:

INCOMING MAIL SERVER
* imap.aol.com
* username@aol.com
* AOL password
* Port 143
* Encryption = None

OUTGOING MAIL SERVER
* smtp.aol.com
* Use Authentication = OFF
* Port 25
* Encryption = None

Hope this helps.

You typed smtp.aim.com instead of smtp.aol.com as you wront in your message.

That should be port 143, not 43. If smtp port 25 doesn't work, try 587.
