    they are pretty comparable. Both have almost the same graphics and cpu, except they are manufactured by different companies. (Samsung vs T.I.)

    The CPU are the same, 600 MHz ARM Cortex-A8

    Its about what you can do with it.

    Pre uses it for desktop-level multitasking. iPhone uses it for games.

    ARM develops the intellectual property. The hardware manufacturer fabs the CPU - they're identical, as far as this goes. It's possible that the implementation for the iPhone may be clocked slightly higher, though that's still unknown.

    ahh thanks for the replies everyone... looks like the Pre came out with some top of the line tech to anticipate the new iphone. glad to see we are not already in outdated territory.

    clevin and ByteMaster0 are correct. The hardware is identical.
