Where did you end up downloading the Usirius program from? I went to the site listed in the instructions but it says I am not authorized to download.

    Usirius download:
MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service

I cant get mine to work on my phone yet, still playing around. I set the audio to 3gp-aac and the test file wont work and i can stream from my computer on orb so its something with my phone...

If you click on the audio stream within orb on your PC, the stream should play, or at least show up as a downloaded file (might depend on the browser you're using). But that shouldn't affect the station playing on your Pre at all.
Well, when I click on the audio stream within orb on my PC it doesn't seem to do anything. It does not play any sound through the PC or open up a new tab, or anything. (I'm using the latest version of firefox).

As far the Pre's end I login to myorb.com and then can see the channel I am streaming and I click on the icon to play it. The pre then goes into that landscape mode as if it's going to play but after 10-20 seconds it times out and says it can't connect and a 'back' button appears and that's it.

i'll try #4 tonight. hopefully that will get things going. thanks for your help.

Iphone released their sirius app. No howard stern; no nfl; no mlb. Opie & anthony make the cut.

I'd definitely try #4, and also re-confirm that uSirius is still running on your PC(possibly the cause of the "can't connect" issue... Orb can still display the saved stations, but won't be able to actually play them if uSirius is not running on the PC). Seems like Orb is up and running properly if you're able to see the stations, so you're getting close

Sirius management really baffles me sometimes. Like or hate Howard Stern, he's a pretty big draw for potentially new subscribers who just want to listen on the iPhone. He's available on their own internet radio player... you'd think they'd just give you access to the same channel lineup that they offer on their internet player via their iPhone app. But that would make too much sense

Well... Sirius's biggest problem is free streaming of their biggest players. Howard & believe it or not, shade45. I think it was a business decision to do that, not to **** of people but.. You know apple couldve played a role in that. Remember NIN (trent renzors) app?

I haven't gotten to the Sirius set up yet, I'm still trying to get Orb to work on the Pre. I note your 3GP-AAC yet can't find the setting anywhere within the mycast.orb.com setting. Is it perhaps on the server side (ie the orb program running on my desktop at home)? Or am I missing something. BTW, I can stream fine to other computers, just get an error when I try it to the pre.

Ok, I found it. I thought I had to set the stream once, and did not realize that it had to be set for each device. I found it on the pre and it works fine (well, the signal sucked so it was choppy) but it worked. Thanks for the help !

Yes, I have this working on my Pre. I have a post on the first page of this thread with a couple of minor drawbacks that I've found, but it does work:

Exactly - much ado about nothing. I knew they wouldn't put Howard on that app. I could care less about Sirius honestly, especially for the crappy canned music on their channels. I'm sure not going to pay a monthly fee for it. I had a free 1-year Sirius in my car and it made absolutely no impression so I didn't renew.

The App *I'd* like to see come to the Pre is Slacker. Anyone with a blackberry should check it out because its even better than Pandora as far as what it does - plus you can set it to cache songs to internal memory so it keeps playing while you're away from internet connection.

With Pandora one thing you notice after listening for a while is the same pool of songs get played OVER and OVER (even if you're voting up or down lots of songs). On Slacker I notice everything actually gets changed up and stays fresh. It makes a good impression.

I've got a request submitted to the slacker people for a Pre client, but apparently they weren't given an advance copy of the Pre SDK so won't be able to get started until it comes out publicly. Fingers crossed!
Submit your Pre feature requests and vote up the best at http://pre.uservoice.com

that setting was the problem. i'm good to go now.

but you're right, it's nice that it works but kinda frustrating that you just have a phone with a black screen that plays the audio yet you can't do anything else with it.

Im an XM subscriber & have been for about 5 years now. But they're reeking more & more like FM everyday.

No %$^$. Since the merger, XM has been going down a steep hill. The DJ's suck, the playlists are shorter and the special programming doesn't exist anymore. My favorite station FRED was replaced by the Sirius version and I really miss the countdowns they did on the holidays.

Awesome! Glad it worked out for you. It's definitely not a perfect solution, but it'll suffice until somebody puts an app out there (PocketTunes used to run on a lot of Palm devices, and they have Sirius support in their iPhone app now... maybe they'll develop their app for the Pre??) or Flash 10 gets added to the browser (in which case, Sirius's media player on their own website will work through the Pre's web browser).
