Palm III -> Palm M100 -> Palm VII -> Tmobile MDA (The 3 year mistake) -> Palm Pre

Hello, Palm. Good to have you back. Let's just pretend that the whole "me leaving you for WinMo" thing never happened, OK?

cant change the poll. so if your 42 and older. and dont want to conceide to being old by voting, jus typr your age in the forum and dont vote. sorry if i offended any old-heads. n my parents are both 35
Jeez, dude, I may be old by your standards, but I'm not offended. Merely amused.

I may be "old," but I'm still more tech-savvy than most "young-uns" I know (or would you prefer "whipper-snappers" to jibe with your view of "old"), and I don't need no stinkin' glasses to push the Pre's buttons. And I can type and spell correctly, too. Ever hear of Google Toolbar's spell check? Hmm.

Sorry Timmy, SERO does not work with the Pre.

I'm almost in the 'old' group.

25 here. And I'm with the crowd that says 42+ isn't neccesarrily old. My parents are in the 45-55 range, and my mom can drink me under the table any day. Not that drinking is a good indicator of age. haha.

53 1/2. Portable radios took 4 D cell batteries. FM radio was magical. Eight Track tapes were OK! My Casio Boss was a miracle! The streets of Oceanside were very quiet the day after JFK was murdered. The summer of 68 was terrible with all the ghetto riots and assasinations. Color TV was another miracle. Each new Elvis movie was a treat. Party lines. Princess phones. Ford Pinto. Naugahyde chairs.

Old dude here, I'm 54, but young enough to handle 3 different OS devices

Don't bother with Google Toolbar, just use Firefox.

I thought the OP would like to see if the Pre was specific to certain age groups. It would be an interesting poll to see the actual ages from 0-90 and see where most Palm Pre users lie in.

Especially with the theory that Sprint is filled with older folk.

If you REALLY are curious as to the breakout of the owners/users of the Pre, why not use some standard demographic breaks?

And the list goes on, but the admin should be able to export this to a spreadsheet and make that file available to everyone so you can use Excel and sort it in whatever ways you wish.

Keep in mind, the sample is incredibly jaded since it's a bunch of us early adopter geeks and clearly wouldn't represent the Pre ownership in its entirety.

And, by the way, I'll be 53 next month. As for "old", let's seeeee....I work in electronic media for a living. For fun and little profit I am a PADI Master SCUBA Diver Trainer, a firearms instructor with specialties in personal protection, a drummer, a drag racer and motorcyclist. You see, once you're over 50, provided that you've somewhat taken care of yourself and your finances, you can afford to do all the cool stuff you WANTED to do during those "wonder" years.

    36 going on 90.
  12. #132
I would have responded to this quicker but I had to find my bifocals.

I know when I was 17, anyone over 40 seemed old. I might not be able to play sports like I could when I was 17 but I sure can do other things better and longer!

Are you sure it's legal to ask a 12 year old to specify their age on the internet? (Not participating in this stupid poll question.)
    I'm both super! ... and a doer!

Is this poll a failed attempt at humor?

Nah, I think it's pretty successful. I sure have laughed at some point on every page of this thread.

BTW, I'm 30, just old enough to feel my hops beginning to decrease. My dunking days are nearly numbered...but not yet. I've got three more years in me....maybe.
