So after a couple days of showing people/using my Pre it is has a bunch of finger prints/smudges on it. What is the best cleaning solution I can use to make my Pre look like the cell phone god it is supposed to be. lol

Use the pouch that came with it.

No two bones about it, though. The Pre is a grease magnet.

To be fair, everything you touch is a grease magnet. You can just see it more clearly on the Pre.

Actually using skins and screen protectors seems to be the best solution. I've used InvisibleShIELD, Best Skins Ever, etc. on the iPhone that I use to own and to my surprise it did not leave any finger prints.

In case you guys havent heard, Best Skins Ever is having a sale- full body skin for only $4.99!! Palm Pre Skin

    Microfiber cloth works great.

When my girlfriend got her iPhone, she was convinced to buy iKlear at the apple store. Surprisingly, it works great (surprising in that it actually seems to be the best solution in my experience...even seems to hamper new fingerprints for a while).

Skins aside (as I'm waiting on my InvisibleShield to arrive), I turn my phone off, rub some hand sanitizer (not the pretty-smelling stuff) on my hands and then all over the phone. It not only gets all the grease off, it cleans it after a hundred of your friends have finished drooling over it. The key is to have it off so you don't end up txting some weird message to an ex. Plus since it's alcohol-based it evaporates quickly, so you don't have to worry about "wetting" your phone.

Probably goes without saying but be careful of this option if you have the Touchstone battery cover. Most waterless hand sanitizers have alcohol and other drying agents.

Don't use electronic cleaning wipes. Right before I tired to put my Bodyguardz on, I wipe it down and it got extremely cloudy. It took me a few minutes with a soft tissue to get rid of it.

Very good point, groovy. I don't yet have the Touchstone cover and will probably stop if/when I do.

I don't recommend alcohol-based cleaners on anything with a screen. A window, fine, but for electronics, it can be a bad idea.

    1. They have the ability to slowly eat away at the films/coatings on them.

    and

    2. Being a hand sanitizer, it more than likely includes an agent to moisturize your hands...adding extra "residue" (though it may be unnoticable at first) to be left behind after the rest evaporates.

I actually tried that last night while cleaning my iMac, and was pleasantly surprised by it. I also noticed the smudge-reduction (for a short while). Pleasantly surprised.
