How do you search for nearby wifi hotspots

I know i found this either on the phone or on an app, but now I can't find this for the life of me...

it was a screen that you clicked and it listed the nearest wifi hotspots and if they were free or not

    thanks!

hit the battery display/icon at top of screen, a menu will come down, select the wifi part of it and it will scan and show you what it finds there, you can connect from there, OR you can go to the launcher, go to page 3 and select wifi from there.
