Normally I don't post about things like this, but it's getting ridiculous. Is the Pre a Blackberry? An iPhone? A Kyocera flip??? NOOOOOOOO...charge the battery according to the specifications by PALM. The Li-Ion battery does not need to be conditioned by power cycling the battery, and may do more harm than good.

If you prefer to listen to someone that works at Dairy Queen (no offense) and lives in his mother's basement when it comes to charging your phone, rather than the people that designed it, feel free. Otherwise, can we kill these mindless posts that continue to clog the board???

You're absolutely wrong... Here is a quote from Apple regarding the Lithium batteries for the iPhone: "For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, itís important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down)."

I would have quoted Palm... but couldn't find a reference for battery health on their website.
