I'm experiencing a nasty bug with the Pre's calendar.
I used DTA to copy my calendar (and everything else) from Palm Desktop (Windows) to the Pre (Palm profile). On the Pre however many of my events show up one day earlier. Literally, in Palm Desktop I have a repeating event for Christmas (Dec. 25) but on the Pre it's displayed on December 24! The horrible thing is that not every event is wrong, so I don't know which events I can trust. My wife has the same problem on her Pre. I called Palm today and to my joy the rep said it's a known problem but sadly didn't have an estimate for when a fix might arrive. I have a service request number. My current webOS version is 1.0.2. I'm hoping that the calendar database is correct and that it's just a display problem. Here's a clue. I have a repeating weekly event which occurs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Pre calls that a "Custom Weekly Repeat" and when I tap down through the details of it, sure enough the checkboxes for Tu and Th are checked. However in the Day/Week/Month views the event displays on Mondays and Wednesdays! Again, it gives me hope that it's just a display problem. The Palm rep let slip something about "DST" so maybe it's a bug around Daylight Savings Time, like maybe the calendar is subtracting a day instead of an hour. Dunno. Anyone else experiencing this? I'll post updates if it gets fixed. |

Update. I called Palm today to check the status of my ticket. They had no news, but it was escalated to a specialist. She had me erase my Palm profile backup, do a partial reset, then run DTA again to transfer my calendar back to the Palm. I didn't want to do it because I would lose some data, but I went ahead and did it and sure enough most of my calendar events are now showing up on the correct days---Christmas is once again December 25. Oddly enough, my Tue/Thu weekly event is still showing up on Mon/Wed, so it's not completely fixed but of course it's better. My Pre is currently at webOS version 1.0.4. We don't know if something in one of the updates fixed the problem, or what.

OK, this has started happening to me after 1.4.1; all Outlook syncing events are entered into the Pre a day early (e.g. my Tuesday appointments are in Monday on Pre; Wed is on Tuesday, etc).
Not certain if it's a bug or something I've introduced, but would appreciate any help in how to potentially fix. I downloaded 1.4.1 and didn't necessarily notice any issue (but wasn't really checking, as I took Fri off from work). I then doctored the phone, restoring from Palm profile; I also replaced palmdatabase.db3 file. I noticed tonight that my calendar appointments are showing up one day early (I only sync to one calendar, which is EAS Outlook). My Tues appts show up under Monday in Pre, though when you open the event itself, it has the correct Tuesday date listed. I deleted my EAS outlook profile, then readded, but after sync, same bug/error. Anyone else having issues? I *really* don't want to have to Dr. again if I can avoid it, as losing all data and homebrew and reinstalling homebrew + patches is so painful. Any ideas?
