Also, don't make the mistake I did...if you hold your finger on the bookmark too long it will turn a darker shade of grey. That will let you rearrange the order of your bookmarks (up/down), but not delete (left/right).
Like tasdad said, to delete, tap and slide left/right without pausing.

How do you remove a web link that will not remove with recomended methods from Launcher?
I must have a unique problem with my phone I have the pre plus without orange button and when I use the option key and tap the web icon from launcher it halos up but nothing happens. It swips left to right up and down , page to page and even loads the web link in the browser but it cannot be removed by any conventional means. Its not even identifiable in Quick Install or in any app list ! Is my phone a dud its 2-1/2 weeks old? I could replace it. Any advice would be appreciated! |

To remove a bookmark launcher, open the browser. Tap, or swipe down, 'Web' in the upper left. Tap 'Bookmarks'. The list of your bookmarks shows up. Slide each left or right, followed by a Delete confirm.
To remove a launcher Icon, hold down the solid gray button on the lower left of your keyboard, and tap the icon. Confirm Delete. Poof, gone. Your phone is most likely not a dud. I've had mine for over two months, and I'm still learning to like the thing. It's hardly an intuitive device, but if it were it would be less useful and more boring. Give it time. In a couple of months, you'll wonder why you didn't return it for a different phone before your 30-day grace period expired. Just kidding. Maybe. |
