I went to the Sprint kiosk in the mall and the guy said that since I'm only eligible for the $75 upgrade I can't get the Pre at all. I also called another Sprint retailer and they said the same thing.

I sent an email to ecare and they sent this back:

    Dear ******,

Thank you for contacting Sprint. We are glad to know that you wish to
    upgrade your current phone.

We at Sprint offer great rebates for the existing customers, depending
upon the handset life on the account.

Rebate directly depends on the active age of the current Sprint Phone
    on
the account, not on the active age of the account with Sprint.

Your phone is eligible for $75.00 instant rebate as of now. In October
2009, this phone will become eligible for the $150.00 rebate against
    the
    purchase of a new phone.

Since you have been a valued customer from 2007, I am offering you an
additional $75.00 credit on the purchase of a new handset. This credit
will be adjusted against the charges on the invoice and will serve as
    an
    instant rebate.

The $75.00 saving on the phone requires a new two-year Sprint
    Subscriber
    Agreement.

The retail price of the handset Palm Pre is $549.99. After the $150.00
rebate, it will cost you $399.99.

Purchase the phone at any of the Sprint stores and reply to this e-mail
after activating the phone. We will apply the promised credit on the
    account.

Thank you again for contacting Sprint.

    Sincerely,
It's nice that they're giving me an extra $75 discount but why am I getting the run around from the stores?

Do you think if i print that email off and take it to that kiosk the dude will get me one? He did seem like he didn't know what he was doing.
