OK guys. I'm coming from WinMo. I always changed my ringers into .wav format to prevent any delay on an incoming call. However, seeing the PRE stock ringtones are in .mp3 format, I loaded an .mp3 ringer of my own.

I get about one second of the ringer, then a missed call. If I go back to the stock ringers it works fine. Am I missing something? Is there a better format for the ringtone? Maybe my file is too large? Help me out!!! lol...

That's odd. Have you tried another .mp3? Mine worked just fine.

I'm working on it now. Most of what I have is DRM so I'm ripping a CD into my library. Apparently you can use the first 30 seconds of any song on the Pre. I need to find some ringtone software so I can make my own.

hmm. I used an mp3 ringer and it worked just fine. it's 1.01 MB

its a full song, but the pre only plays the first 30 or so seconds, until voicemail kicks in. This works exactly as I expected it to.
