Sprint is spotty where I live, but luckily Sprint has a deal with Verizon to roam anywhere on the Verizon network. But if your roaming, you can not use data! Voice works great while roaming (of course, its Verizon), but data can not be used (A message displays and basically says F U to data usage while roaming).

That to me is a big concern because I have been roaming quite a few times today running errands around town. I'm going to continue to use it in different areas, but if I run into too many roaming spots, I will be taking this back (unfortunately!)

Make sure that data roaming is turned on under phone preferences

to get to phone preferences, launch the phone app, then tap sprint at the top of the screen.

scroll down to data roaming, and tap it. pick enabled.

Open the Phone App, click the Sprint icon at the top left, scroll down, under NETWORK, you'll see DATA ROAMING and whether it is enabled/disabled (click that line to change the value)

also beware that mobile to mobile and weekend/minutes don't apply when roaming (voice)

No, Sprint will NEVER charge for data roaming in the US.

Go to Sprintusers, you'll read some horror stories. Just like if your voice roaming is more than 50% of your actual total calls and/or minutes, you'll get a call from Sprint...
