I have a problem with this step.

WM won't let me leave the domain field blank. I can't click Next until something is in the domain field. Any ideas?

just put google in the domain name....but I have a feeling you will be running into the same issues I had the other night trying to do this. I have a Touch too, and for some reason it wont get off of the regular active sync.

    try gmail.com

People on Google Help forums says this works.

Also saw a post that says m.google.com might work.

Gmail is not a good idea

    Try the following

    Import Vcf Contacts - Openmoko

Open the outlook with the same account as active sync.

pressing ALT-F11, Insert a module, and paste in the following. Change "c:\temp\contacts" to wherever you want your vcf files saved (should be an existing, empty directory), and press F5 to run it.

    Sub ExportContactsToVCF()

'Cheap and nasty way to export All Contacts to VCF files.

    Dim CN As ContactItem
    Dim NS As NameSpace
    Dim Fld As MAPIFolder

    Set NS = Application.GetNamespace("MAPI")
    Set Fld = NS.GetDefaultFolder(olFolderContacts)

    For Each CN In Fld.Items
    Debug.Print CN.FullName
    CN.SaveAs "z:\Openmoko\contacts\" & CN.FullName & ".vcf", olVCard
    Next CN

    MsgBox "Done!"

    End Sub

This will result in actual vcf files saved on your drive for future use.
I assume that you can export these to Pre.

If you sync your contacts to Microsoft Outlook, you should be able to export your contacts from Outlook to a CSV file. Then, you can import that CSV file into Google Contacts online. I tried this, and it partially worked with some of the contact fields not coming in entirely. I fixed it, by writing a simple program that would reformat the CSV. It's worth trying.

I split the content into three posts.

Read the link , its not rocket science ,

    Import Vcf Contacts - Openmoko

    Open Outlook
    Press alt + F11

    Copy the content

Click the run button on the VBVBVB $screen$.

Close all the windows including outlook.

Check your folder to see all the VCF files are stored.

If you cannot do that ,
then please spend time with the SPRINT store "Knowledgeable" advocate.

He/ She will do it for you.

Can't you just sync to Outlook and then import that to Palm on initial setup? Also, in WM 6.1, all you should have to do is enter user@gmail.com and the password and it will pull the rest.

I set up google sync on my Touch (vogue) and it worked fine. Now I'll have all my contacts when I enter my google info on my pre.
