I believe some of the earlier documents said that Sprint Premier customers don't pay activation fees when ordering online (isn't it always waived when ordering online, though?), but did anyone notice on their bill a page about S|P benefits and after mentioning being able to upgrade after 12 months instead of 22 it said: "Even better, you'll pay no upgrade fees." It did not specify that this meant online orders only.

Would you all assume S|P customers will have the upgrade fee waived no matter where we buy the phone?

(Phone) Upgrade fee is one thing; activation fee is another. I hope to get the activation fee waived...if there is one.

Really? Last year, when I upgraded from my Samsung A900, I was charged $18 dollars for the upgrade. ( https://manage.sprintpcs.com/special...bateWelcome.do ) There were no additional fees involved. I think that the activation fee ($36) is given when you activate a new line of service, not upgrade your handset.

I haven't paid a fee to upgrade a phone, or do an ESN swap, in years (maybe never), whether doing it online or by phone, whether on an existing line or a new one. Yes, I'm a premier customer, but this was true even before the Premier program was in existence. Ask if there's a fee. If they say yes, ask them to waive it. I bet they will.
