Yeah I will probably fire up some cards and play with the interface but the big thing will be the inevitable configuration of my Exchange, Gmail, and Facebook accounts with the device. Once that is set up I will be in good shape to play with the rest and make some video demos.

I get the feeling that as usual I will be out of commission for the first 4 or 5 hours I have this thing. I will be trying out every app as well as checking out the app store, playing with the browser, nav, Pandora, etc.

If I wasn't getting her one as well I would probably be in trouble with my better-looking half

Figure out how to explain to my wife I just bought a Pre and paid an early termination fee on the iPhone. She already rolled her eyes when I waited in line for the iPhone. Now she'll really give me a hard time in less than 12 months.

I get funny looks from my wife whenever I mention a new phone. Despite my best efforts at salesmanship she's just not interested in a smartphone. But that won't stop me from getting mine.

Open apps repeatedly and flick them off the screen.

No seriously, I'll find "Prefs", "Network settings", etc. and see what I can mess around with/configure/customize.

That's true. Get it anyway and then suffer the consequences. They'll pass in a day or so.

Multi-tasking. I'm gonna open EVERY APP UP and enjoy the multi-task goodness that my iPhone doesn't have.
