I read in the Pre's specs that it plays several video file types (natively), but AVI was not one of them. That's what all of my movies are formated to.

I'm assuming someone will likely write an app that plays AVIs on the Pre...?

It still might work, AVI is a container for mpeg4, or you could transcode them in the formats that the Pre supports.

^--- what he said. AVI is just a container.

Well, AVI doesn't work; doesn't even show up after dragging over; *all* my vids are in AVI for my Treos...arrrrgh!

Anyone have a link to what is natively supported? Google not bringing back and there's nothing in Pre's help section

mp4 is what you need, any video converter for ipod (and there is plenty free) will work for you.
