I remember a thread not long ago that someone was looking to see what the call in progress screen looked like. I couldn't find the thread, but I saw these in Gizmodo's recently posted FAQ.

They have a lot of good pictures, including a few of the app catalog:

Just right now I was looking at the same pictures and was coming here to post them. You beat me to it, good job jhoff80.

It seem pretty simple and straight to the point which I like. Big end call button followed by what looks like: a "Speaker" (speakerphone), "Mute" , "Dial Pad", and I think a "Add Call" button. Hopefully for more advanced options one would have to go to the menu button on the top left corner.

Also looks like if we have a picture of somebody from the address book it would show it in that big blank space under the phone #. And instead of the phone # it'll probably show name of the person followed by a M for mobile or H for home, etc.

I also like that fact that I can see the time while on a call. That's something I wish my 700p had as I don't wear a watch.

My 700p does display the time on the call at the upper right on the screen. I'm on Sprint. Are you?

PalmHead do you mean the call timer? I was actually referring to the time of the day. You know for those times when you're on a call and you look at the time to approximate what time to meet up, etc.

Oh, the real time. Like you said a watch. I remember those. Got a bunch gathering dust. And I'm with you. I'd like the time displayed somewhere all the time. Should be a nice feature on the Pre.

Does that 'end call' button look like it would be easy to hit it accidentally with your cheek during a call?

Thanks for the pics. Like all the other pictures of the pre I've seen over the past few weeks, it looks clean and polished. I'm curious though about ending a call while talking on the other line. I'm pretty sure my 700p and 755p never had that feature (unless I just never knew). Sometimes I get a call when I'm on the phone with someone else, and when I switch over the other person just always shows up as if they're on the other line even if they're not.

Remember that its got a proximity sensor, so the screen will be off if you're holding it to your face.

Should be interesting to see how the pre handles 2 calls at once.

If anything the row on the bottom with the common options for 1 call would change when another call comes into play. It'll probably switch to something like speaker, switch, merge, and end, and maybe be the big end icon to end all.

I hope there are speed dial buttons like the palm. I like the one push dialing.

That has me wondering too. It would almost feel like a step backwards for me if I would have to scroll through my contacts list to find the person I want to call. I'd like to have a picture speed dialer like I do on my Sprint Touch. Swipe from the bottom up and the "cube" comes up, one side of which has the faces of my 9 most commonly called contacts. I really hope the Pre has something like that too, otherwise, I'd have to really do a lot of scrolling through the contact list, or just the keyboard with the universal search to type the person in that I want to call.
