    DON'T force it...

    Sometimes a cable gets trapped in the slider. Forcing it can sever or damage the cable and cause major problems.

    Consider doing a partial disassembly to get at the cable.

    LOL... Take a look. There's plenty of info. You may need more than one to see things clearly.

    Another possibility is one of the internal screws has loosened enough to get in the way of the keyboard. I had that on one of my Pre's. Tightening it down solved my issue. Also, if the screw actually came out it could lodge somewhere to do this as well.
