Battery strategy ?

I recently bought a new pre2 ... and based on the reviews on the battery life decided to get a couple of spare batteries as well.

So the question is, what is the best strategy to keep all the batteries healthy and prolong their life ? Given that there arent any "new" batteries or will be ...

for now I am thinking of cycling through the batteries 1 week at a time and keeping the spare ones fully charged ...

any thoughts / ideas regarding this ?
