pre 2 rail cable parts

I have a gsm palm pre 2 with broken keyboard rail cable. Then I saw on ebay a cheap palm pre with broken screen. I was wondering if I could use this as part. Anyone know hardware compatibility between pre -, pre +, and pre 2 ?

I think that's an outstanding question...

You may want to look at some YouTube vidz and Google images for "teardown" "disassembly" etc... if no one can answer that directly here.

Ostensibly they are very much the same. Although it's easy to imagine some small tweak in specs making it a no go between generations on such a part...
