Hello all,

I have been running my Pre 2 for years and every now and then I check the App Catalog for new apps and it seems to have the same ones listed lately. Because of Open Webos, is there a new App Calalog that I need to download? Am I missing out on something?

Thanks =-)

Nothing yet. Open webOS doesn't have an official app store. Supposedly that will get implemented with Open webOS Professional. The App Catalog is pretty slow. You get a burst of updates maybe a couple of times a month, and not too frequently new apps.

Thank you so much for the reply!
Looks like I will keep playing the waiting game!
It would be nice if the hot list on the Catalog changes... I am tired of staring at the same icons every time!

There is almost zip app development at this point. (paticuarly compared to iOS and Android)

Which equates to nothing new.

Open webOS still isn't ready for general use and actual webOS products are a long way off, if they to arrive

Interestingly, I noticed the same thing this weekend when I powered up my old Veer just to see if anything new had been added... saw the same apps I saw last time. <Sighs, shakes head, puts SIM card back in Nexus...>

Or removed from the ranks so as not to waste everyone's time.

Unfortunately poster, you will be starting at those same icons at HP Catalog FOREVER!!!

Courtesy of Stupid HP....

Seriously, if you have been reading WebOS lately (and news of developers fleeing this sorta of non-existent OS)....you can know that we don't have any developers at all on WebOS. So, get used to seeing the same apps on the HP catalog and no more apps anymore from no-one. Welcome to WebOS operating system, the land of no apps
