Works perfectly fine on my phone. I don't have a single issue to complain about - running 1.2ghz and enjoying great battery life/usability.

No problem, hope it works for you (I havent personally tested with a verizon pre2 - mine was an AT&T pre2, but that -should- work for you).

Let us know if everything doctors up nicely .

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU so much ncinerate, now it says Sprint and i can send TEXTS and make phone calls. The only thing I noticed is that on the DEVICE app for carrier it says VERIZON and not SPRINT. no big deal right? as long as my phone is working now. What a difference with the pre 2 compared to the pre-...... way faster.... ill follow your advice as well and install 1.2ghz KERNEL.

now all i gotta do is find a way to install the SPRINT NAVIGATION. i had done it before last year with my pre- on 2.1 but i don't know if applies to the frankenpre as well but i really appreciate that you SAVED me so MUCH time. WOW thank you ncinerate. now i can go happy to class lol

I haven't actually tried this yet, but I bookmarked it because I'm about to do a FrankenPre of my own, so check out this link for how to get Sprint Nav. I did a Google search and found the Sprint Nav ipk with no problems.
