How To update your Sprint PRL, Guide written by Xandua73 originally and tweaked and simplified by matteebee13.

Download the latest PRL from this link: http://dev-host.org/v1afjj9qvybo/60683.zip
    Business/3g roaming:http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33209217/Sprint_11115.prl
    Older PRL's: http://dev-host.org/users/oostah
Find Best PRL for you: http://www.batonrougebroadband.info/

    Then use these instructions:

    <<GET PRL FILE>>
Unzip it and send to\Insert into: /media/internal [Your USB partition of your phone]

    1. rename (PRL FILE) to Sprint_60680.prl (or whatever PRL you want to use)
    2. cd /media/internal
    3. mount -o remount,rw /
    4. tar -cf prl_update.tar Sprint_60680.prl
    5. PmModemUpdater < /media/internal/prl_update.tar
    6. mount -o remount,ro /

You can use woqi command line, novcom, or sld terminal.
Runs Perfectly Fine on my and multiple other users Franken Sprint Pre 2's Verizon and GSM variants.

Actually there is a newer one 21081, but I haven't tested it. Most folks seem to still be on 60681. I use my wife's droid as a reference. When her's updates, I use the same one. A few posts up looks like a good regional reference guide for you. Seattle & FL are pretty far apart! Use google and see if you can find somebody posting there PRL from your neck of the woods & yes it will still be your phone if you use either of the 2 links posted by me in the Sprint PRL Update thread.

    SYM + h = [
    SYM + j = ]
    SYM + n = >
    SYM + o = ~
    SYM + q = ESC
    SYM + t = TAB
    SYM + u = }
    SYM + y = {
    SYM + x = |
    SYM + z = \
    SYM + l = `
    SYM + p = ^
    SYM + w = UP
    SYM + a = LEFT
    SYM + s = DOWN
    SYM + d = RIGHT

According to here 11115 is the best recent one as it allows for 3g roaming on verizon. So Do you think Thats best or the 21081? media internals is just the usb partition right?

Just for people trying this out it works. Thanks matt. This is the post he was referring too.

Download the latest PRL from this link: Files of oostah
    Then use these instructions:

    <<GET PRL FILE>>
Unzip it and send to /media/internal

    1. rename (PRL FILE) to Sprint_60680.prl (or whatever PRL you want to use)
    2. cd /media/internal
    3. mount -o remount,rw /
    4. tar -cf prl_update.tar Sprint_60680.prl
    5. PmModemUpdater < /media/internal/prl_update.tar
    6. mount -o remount,ro /
    Worked for me.

(These instructions are from post #130 of this very thread slightly modified)

    I updated to 21081.

Successfully updated to 21081 using the instructions in post 399. Using woqi command line. Device info shows prl correctly and noticeable service improvement on fraken pre 2. Thanks meet

Nice now we have a reliable way to update are prl. Think we could eventually update and tweak network settings?

EDIT/UPDATE: updated thread to show how to do this process and make everything easier for everybody.

    Right here my friend: http://forums.precentral.net/webos-tips-information-resources/236242-increase-speed-your-evdo-connection.html
The only thing you will need is your MSL from Sprint. They are usually happy to give it to you through 877-735-8505 or *2
