Would I be able to swap a GSM com chip into my Verizon Pre2 to switch it over to AT&T, and just install the regular AT&T webos doctor? Would it work?

But then it won't support SIM cards will it? I want this on the AT&T network, not Verizon.

Does the Verizon doctor even support unlocked phones and SIM cards?

If the SIM slot is attached to the comm board, then it is probably possible, but you should trade the Verizon Pre2 for a GSM one for your own sanity.

If I helped you or you have downloaded one of my files,
then least you could do is click the "Thanks" button.

I agree. Reduce your stress level with an already made GSM model. Someone else would surely find use for the older Verizon model.

Well I have very little time to work with, so I was hoping (since the hardware is identical except for the comm chip) that I could just doctor it up as a standard unlocked device...

When you load webos doctor, does it do a serial number check? Or will it just install?
