Any way I make the boot log at the link below work for my Pre 2?

PreThemer // Yankees Palm Pre Boot Logo

I sent the .ipk file to my phone through WOSQI and the transfer went through, but didn't change the boot logo.

If you are on 2.1, the boot logo probably wont show up with older themes since the names of the images have changed from palm-logo.png to hp-logo.png. If you have Internalz, and that theme did place those images on your phone, you can go into usr/palm/sysmgr/images and change those names and do a luna restart. Open the images first and see if they are the right ones.

    palm-logo.png = hp-logo.png
    palm-logo-bright = hp-logo-bright.png

Downloading the .zip file, I see I was right. You need to change those names. Once you do, it will ask you if you want to overwrite existing images. Select yes. and do a luna restart.

I did also download the .zip files and extracted them and changed the names as you mentioned. But when I click on the + in WOSQI and go to the folder where I have those files saved, they don't show up, so I can't send them to my phone.

Im going to try to remember off the top of my head since I dont have quickinstall in front of me. When sending a file, use this method. Go up to tools/send file. A box will appear and you can drag and drop the image into the top bar. In the second bar type in usr/palm/sysmgr/images/ and select send to device. I found sometimes in Windows, it might tell you that it failed to send but it does anyway. So if you get that message, just do a luna restart and see if it took effect.
