    Hello everyone!

    On my girlfriend's pre2 (unlocked) we're getting bad results with App Catalog related stuff.

    The phone is in Belarus, so I am not expecting the catalog to work, but I cant even download freeware apps with Impostah (I used to before)

    Whenever I try to get app info in Impostah, or do any other thing in the App Catalog part I get:

    {"errorCodes" : "DISC0050", "message": "Unable to authenticate"}

    Also Backup doesn't work failing with an error.

    I have doctored the phone, and when trying to restore the phofile it said
    'Cannot restore data' smth like that. I created a new profile, doctored the phone and all is still the same.

    Maybe someone can help!

    Install "show properties" from preware. What are your DMSETS values?

    What is the precise history of webOS versions on the phone? Has it ever gone backwards in versions (2.x to 1.x) ?

    This is a pre2
    In my hands, it has always been on 2.1.0

    I purchased it used, so previous owner might have had 2.0.1 on it before.
    I dont think it ever went backwards. Palm profile on palm.com shows OS version 2.1.0

    Some more info: Before I doctored (yesterday), the backup app showed Last Backup 7/12/2011.

    How did you log into the Palm profile? Does the activation scene in Impostah give any errors when you log into the profile?

    I tried logging in via impostah as well as via erasing apps and data. Impostah gives no errors, shows a 'Success' message

    The thing i noticed that in Palm Profile (in Impostah)
    on my pre minus:

    jabberId = Object {...} and when I click it, it shows properties

    on the buggy pre2:

    jabberId = correct data, but not as object, but as a string {key:value, key2:value2}

    Are you still experiencing this or have you found a fix? I have the exact same problem with my pre2 and now with pre3 as well. Have contacted support about 4 weeks a go no luck yet them solving this yet, but they assured they are going to look into this soon. The odd thing is that the profiles still work for some devices not just for these two and the most oddest thing is that it is the same thing for the just received pre3.

    The really weird thing is that if I remember correctly the date that my backup stopped working might have been exactly same or day off than yours. Also the others with the problem I found with google had the problem appear around the same time. So maybe some server that these phones are directed to went mad at that time or they changed how the profile servers works.

    Have you contacted support, if not, I guess it would be good to contact and mention my case number since the last time I contacted them I said that there are others that are suffering from this as well. Just did not know about this thread at that time so did not have much proof for them. So having others contacting about the same problem would speed up the process for sure since the more people are suffering the higher priority they will put on it.

    In any case will keep you posted if they solve my case then they know how to solve yours if it does not get fixed at the same time.

    At least I did contact the support chat, you can say that there is exact same case already on going for my pre2 (case number: 99095332) just to let them know that there are others with the same problem. And say that your problem started about the same time than mine (either same day or the very next day if I remember correctly when my backup stopped working) since that info might help them and since you seem to know for sure the day when the backup stopped working for you. It might help them to locate the problem if they know when it started.

    And also put some weight on the words that this has been bothering you over month now as me so maybe that will also will effect on the priority of the case. At least my latest chat with support already lead to the conclusion that the problem is in one of their servers most likely. And they promised to hurry with it but it can not hurt to let them know that there are more people with the same problem. I also let them know about my pre3 that has the same problem even its new, and I have devices that work properly so it seems that only my unlocked devices bought from eurostore are effected. If yours is also unlocked device let them know that it really seems to bother only those devices (I have one from US and one from france and they still work).
