I currently use Companionlink with my Pre Plus and I love it. Will it work with the Pre 2? What would I need to do to switch it over to the new phone?

Companionlink does not work with webOS 2.x yet. There is a thread here somewhere with a link to the company CEO. I emailed him a couple of weeks ago, and he said they are looking at how to do this and said to touch base with him in a month or so.

Thanks for the info. I may wait now to upgrade to the Pre 2.

Does it make a difference that I currently sync with Companionlink for Google? Would that work with the Pre2?

FWIW pocket mirror has already released a new version that works with 2.x

If you choose Google as your sync method, CompanionLink can sync your data to the Pre2. It's USB sync that we're currently unable to support on webOS 2.x. See http://www.companionlink.com/webos/outlook/ for more details & let me know if you have any other questions!

How did you get companion link to work? I can only do the initial sync. After that, NOTHING syncs though it goes through the entire process and tells me it did.

I sync using this method, i.e. Outlook to Google with CompanionLink and then usual Synergy sync from the Pre 2 with Google. Works fine.

It sounds like something isn't set up quite right. If you contact our Support Team via http://www.companionlink.com/support/contact.html with the details of what's going on, they'll be more than happy to help!

Update: It looks like Companionlink will be coming for WebOS 2.x in the coming month (not coming months!):

Nearly a year after they seemed to failed their initial promise. It does not look like pre 2 is supported as of now.

I think to buy this app for syncing my Pre 3 with Palm Desktop. Will I need to buy the app for the second time for syncing my Touchpad using the same Palm profile?
May I sync a phone with another Palm profile to the same account on the Palm Desktop?

    Hi Baikalien,

CompanionLink Express supports two device profiles (CompanionLink for Palm Desktop is intended for only one device). Just make sure you're using the Express version, and you can setup sync with two devices.
