Does anyone know if this is still the case? I'm migrating my Wife over from Pre+ to Pre2, and although I synced all beforehand, there are some missing Calendar entries which she's not too happy about!

I've retrieved objects.db etc from the Pre+, is there any way of parsing this? From what I can tell, all the data is present unencrypted.

    Thanks,

    Lee

    Revelant link:

I would not recommend transfering data to and from the databases manually, ESPECIALLY across webOS versions (if its even possible).

If I helped you or you have downloaded one of my files,
then least you could do is click the "Thanks" button.

    you can novaterm and run

    luna-send -n 1 -a com.palm.calendar luna://com.palm.db/find '
    {"query": {"from": "com.palm.calendarevent:1"}}'

to get the events, not sure about putting them back in though

    I get
    Code:
    {"errorCode":-3963,"errorText":"db: permission denied","returnValue":false}
Could it be because the profile has already transferred over to the new phone, so the files left on the old phone are considered dead?

    Thanks,

    Lee

    EDIT:
After a bit more digging, the impersonation needs to be com.palm.app.calendar rather than com.palm.calendar.
I used this to extract the JSON representation of all the events, and then wrote a quick app to parse those events and create a csv for import into Google. I then imported into Google, and synced that with the Pre2. => Happy Wife.
Big thanks to theinnkeeper for the above luna-send.

No problem, it was a coincidence, i happened to be working on an agenda app for the touchpad when i saw your post. Ended up ditching it because there is no sanctioned way to get event info.
