I'm wondering how much of an impact an individual's geographical location has on the functioning of GPS in WebOS devices. For me, although I always have to use the VZ Nav workaround, I've noticed that the GPS works better/faster in certain cities than in others. I live in Charleston, SC and using the workaround will bring up GPS, but it won't update my location as I'm driving unless I close and reopen VZ Nav. Now, if I'm in Greenville or Columbia, SC it will update my location as I'm driving. It didn't update my location in Baltimore, but did when I was visiting my parents in the Harrisburg, PA area. I've noticed most consistently with Greenvile since I'm up there every few weekends and drive through Columbia on the way. In those cities, it will always update my location as I'm driving but never updates in Charleston unless I close and reopen VZ Nav.

I just wonder, with some people saying the GPS works great and others saying it's terrible, how much of a factor their location is.
