    I know it's a tiny battery, 1150mAh. I know some batteries have a bit of a conditioning period...but please tell me that these Korean cells just need a couple of good juice sessions to charge them up. I went from 100% at 7:30am and was down to 11% at 11:17am. I wan't doing a whole lot of configuring, all that's done. The screen is set to minimal brightness, out in 30 seconds. I was just some reading with the WSJ (mobile edition) and checking Twitter feeds every hour or so...

    I guess I should save Angry Birds for when I'm only plugged in...

    That doesn't sound normal, but I'd give it a couple days to see if it improves. If it doesn't, you've most likely have a defective battery.

    There is a battery calibration tool in the "webOS-Internals" feed in Preware. I haven't used it, but it is probably just the ticket for conditioning your batter, or detecting hardware failure.

    How's your carrier signal? I've seen poor signal kill a lot of batteries.

    Full bars everywhere I'm at 99.8% of the time.

    I downloaded the Preware documentation and will look into the preware/developer stuff a little later. I'm not in a position yet where I know enough to be dangerous...

    Then I would also recommend homebrew app Dr Battery to analyze and calibrate your battery (after you install Preware, of course):

    That's not normal.

    Loosing power this fast is usually one of the following:
    * The radio is trying too hard to overcome bad reception
    * Very short mail/facebook/twitter/whatever update interval (I set my email sync to every 30 minutes)
    * Playing 3D game, music or using some other app that needs a lot of power
    * Screen brightness (but you already mentioned that you reduced it)
    Pre -> Pre3 & TP32 -> Nexus 5
