I hate the VZW website. It wants to control what I can look at. Just show me a list of phones!!!

I like how it is positioned BELOW the refurb phones, and the flash stuff is broken so you can't actually see the device. And then... it says "this color is out of stock".

    Good job Verizon!

    I'm looking at it now. $199.99?!?!? I'm typing to a sales rep, asking about $100 rebate . . .
    Sharp YO-370 -> HP 200LX -> Palm m125 -> Palm Treo 680 -> Pre 2

So HP pre-order was $99, then VZW pre-order was $149 and now the phone is outright $199? It's getting a bit up there for a phone that I don't really want all that badly.

    Yeah, I can't see myself paying $200 for a Pre 2.

The rep said, "At this time we don't know rebate information. I'm sure it will be great, maybe $100.00 off like many other phones."

You can still order on Palm's website for $99 (with 2 year contract. Palm link to its 3rd party provider says $20 month for mobile hotspot and early termination fee up to $350. (free ship)

pcmag said on Feb 15 article that rebate will be $50; on brighthand site they observe generally that vzw is doing away with mail rebates and is providing instant rebates (link below) so I don't understand what is happening with pre 2.

edit: website this morning now includes $50 instant rebate for 1 yr and 2 yr phones

Verizon's website is sucking even more than usual with broken links and such. No one will find this unless they are REALLY looking for it...

I think (hope) they're still sorting the entry out in their system. It doesn't show up right now unless you search for it by name and then it says "unavailable" when you click on it.

Aren't the rebates normally "instant" for online orders?

    update:
Now it's showing under the Palm category:

    Full Retail Price $409.99
    2-Year Contract $154.99
    Online Discount -$50.00
    PRICE $104.99

    But still out of stock.

It is available to my area code by going to top of page, selecting "phones and devices" which when you scroll over it, gives a submenu for selecting operating systems. Choose Palm and the Pre 2 shows up. You must then click on the picture of Pre 2 to get the options for 1 yr, 2 yr or month to month plans
    Full Retail Price $409.99
    2-Year Contract $199.99
    Online Discount -$50.00
    PRICE $149.99
    Includes Free Shipping

I'm now seeing $199.99 with a $50 Online Discount. It doesn't say anything about being out of stock, but I'd rather see it for $104.99.

Just ordered mine. It shows for me $164.99 with 2yr agreement plus $50 off for a total of 114.99. A lot better than $199.
  17. #17
how do u order it when it says "out of stock"??
  18. #18
I just ordered mine. When I went through the process, it said listed Mobile Hotspot $0 as an incompatible feature that had to be removed. It will be here by 3 tomorrow!
Mine said $199 with a $50 online discount.
    My gadget list-TouchPad, Pre 3, Pre 2, Pre+, Pixi+, Treo 700p, Treo 650, Centro, Handspring, Kyocera 6035, 7135-all with Verizon.

Big Deal you can't buy it, when open it on the Verizon site the Pre2 shows up but says it is not available in that color and you cannot buy it.

    Another BIG FAIL from Verizon.
