I cannot say my Pre 2 does that. Just for kicks if and when wifi fails again, run the quick test to see what error code it produces for wifi before you do a restart. Using the uber kernel on it still? I know that has been giving issues with the wifi failing randomly ATM on the Pre 2.

This happens to my AT&T Pre Plus on my home Wlan. The only solution for me is to reset the router. Somehow, my various computers have no problems.
