I currently have a Palm Pre Plus on at&t, but I might be getting a Pre 2. If I do get the Pre 2, would it be best to start it with the same Palm Profile I have on my Pre Plus, or should I make a new Profile for the Pre 2?...Thanks guys...

Depends on what you want. If you have a lot of paid apps that you don't want to lose then you will need to use the same profile. Apps are tied to your profile and are non transferable profile to profile.

It's just I heard that there could be problems when two devices are using the same profile, is that true?...

two devices can't use the same profile.

it would be awesome if that changes, especially once they launch a tablet.

The problem is that it will let you know the profile is already active on another device and ask if you want to continue anyway. You can tell it yes, and it will load up. However the moment you connect the other device to the network either in wifi or phone data, it will log you out of the profile on that device and wipe that profile off. Effectively resetting your device.

EDIT... one other word of advice. If you are using the same profile, you will want to back up everything in your USB partition and homebrew and then do an app and data erase from the Device Info, reset options and then create a new profile on the old device BEFORE activating the new device. This way you can pull the SIM and still use the old device as a PDA, MP3 player, etc. all with App catalog access and OTA updates still.

In other words, the best thing to do would be to keep the original profile on my pre plus and make a new one for the pre 2?...Or, do a "secure full erase" on my pre plus and then start the pre 2 with my original profile, yes?...

I would recommend starting with a new profile on the Pre 2 personally.

then no erase is necessary at all on your Plus. Just remove the sim card and keep using it with the exception of phone and SMS

Alright, I guess that is what I'll do. Thank you so much for your help. The only sucky thing is that I'll have to buy all the apps I had AGAIN....Oh, and can two profiles use the same email address?...and password?...

You want to keep your Palm Profile. It has all your apps and more importantly, your Contacts tied to it. If that is important to you, keep it and transfer to your new phone.
If not important, you can create another profile on the new phone.
When you start up the new phone, it's gonna ask if you want to have the profile transferrred to your new phone. You say yes and continue if you want to use the original profile, contacts and apps. Or, put another email address and password to create new profile at the Palm sign-on. Your choice. But 2 phones can't share profile. That will change soon.
