    Avner,

Thanks for bearing patience with me. I was able to install v1.02 (the page on precentral.com has a broken link to 1.02 from your 16/12 update).

While WOQI was in the process of installation it issued one ERROR windows (no details) but continued to the end. I am not sure how significant this may have been. Perhaps it did not expect the modified batang.ttf font file that I have loaded earlier.

I can see Hebrew on web pages as well as SMS. Now the challenge is to be able to type in Hebrew. On the Treo I had a system language extension (PiLoc) that let me use the physical keyboard but with Hebrew characters remapping. Is that available on PRE 2 as well or do I need to use a virtual Hebrew keyboard?

Maybe this is not the ideal thread for this but still has to do with making the PRE 2 "Kosher"

For some reason I am unable to get the voicemail number (*151) set in the Phone Preferences. Instead, it dials my own number and of course the call drops.

Is there a way to hack it or is it set by the network (Orange)?

press the voice-mail icon and set the number: +972-544151000

When I press the icon it immediately dials my number. No option to enter any number.. When I enter the phone preferences it allows me to type the number but it does not save it and it does not show the number it actually dials.
When I try to set a speed dial from contacts it does not allow to assign it to "1" key

I just got an almost-new Pre 2 with WebOS 2.1.0 and am moving all my data onto it from my Pre.

I tried using the old batang.ttf method but that didn't work.

So I came here, found Avner's .ipk file and tried installing that with WOSQI but I got the attached error in the image, which was because the Pre2 wasn't in DEV mode.

Put the phone in dev mode and tried again. This time the file was installed but nothing happened.

Playing with Preware, I saw Avner's application listed there. I don't know if it was the same file I had just installed manually or not, but I installed it via Preware anyway.

This time I restarted the phone, and now Hebrew works perfectly. I didn't realize that the 'Hebrew Support' app, part of Avner's install, will verify that all went well.

Avner- can you update your app so that when it's installed via Preware, the user is prompted to restart the phone?

the old batang.rrf method is for webOS 1.4.5.
    you should replace: Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf

latest preware (i think 1.7.3) has an option to install fonts.
install the GNU fonts and you are clear to go...

The Hebrew Support is not installing for me from either Preware or from the Web OS Quick Installer. On preware it downloads and then keeps hanging with the spinning circle. With WOQI it blinks back to the home application list every time I try to install. The annoying part is, I had it working a week ago from WOQI (it still didn't work from preware then either), but I had to webos Dr this week after experimenting with Ubuntu on my touchpad. I'm hitting dead ends, any ideas?

I also tried sending a hebrew font file with various names including batang and Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf manually with WOQI to no avail.

Here was my solution that worked for me and is allowing me to currently use Hebrew Fonts:

Step 1. Open Preware, Everything, Search and Install "Hebrew Support"
Step 2. After the download finishes but the installation idles out, toss the Preware card.
Step 3. Set the TP to USB Drive mode and open it up in a file manager.
Step 4. Open the dev folder and you will find the fully downloaded .ipk that wouldn't install through preware. Cut and Paste this to your computer.
Step 5. Open WOQI and install the IPK manually from your computer (and not from the feeds)
    Step 6. Reboot your device.

B'Hatzlacha. This drove me crazy for a while, I hope it helps you.

note: the palm pre 2 has different fonts than the palm pre classic.
    this installs both fonts.
To which destination on the touchpad I send the hebrew stuff?
