Your best bet is to package up the com.quickoffice.webos directory from the ROM using the IPK Packager utility and then install onto your device.

Also, please don't bother PM'img me asking for a copy of the ipk, not going to happen

So, anyone that wants to use QuickOffice now...

Copy the com.quickoffice.webos directory from the ROM to /media/internal/ on your device (via usb)

Then move the directory under /usr/palm/applications/ using Internalz.

Works like a charm after a full device restart, shows up on first launcher page

Be sure to do a full device restart, otherwise it will error out when attempting to open files

I believe you can also use Jaycanuck's IPK Packager on that folder to create an .ipk file.

Oh, awesome. Never actually used that utility before.

That might solve the issue of it not wanting to open documents.

    Thanks!

EDIT: seems to have trouble actually opening docx or xlsx files though. Boo.
Two people have essentially said this now, but neither method allows me to open documents. It starts up, but gives errors when trying to open up *any* kind of file. Are you guys pulling my leg?

Edit: Luna restart did not work, but a full device restart finally fixed it.

I'm simply informing those who wish to download the doctor image for themselves and extract QuickOffice. I wish not to break down the integrity of these forums.

ok ive definitely verified that there is now a T9 function... most of this is for the error correction and for auto omplete now in 2.0.... However im making a general guess that since we have found a handful of keyboard images, it may be used for the dialer app as thats why the keyboard images are the same background as that of the new dialer ..

    like this

    Heh, that would work lol!

Maybe on the next device (post Pre2) they'll include HDMI-out. With the bluetooth mouse and keyboard, that would let me turn my TV into a computer haha
