Just got my Palm Pixi Plus activated on Verizon, but the 3G symbol still hasn't appeared. Any help?

    Does it say "E" ???

That might stand for EV-DO... The only data speed I see for that model is 1xEV-DO: Palm Pixi / Pixi Plus (CDMA) Specs, Features (Phone Scoop) and that is equivalant to 3g...

I was just wondering because it never says Ev like it should when using EV-DO.

Yup, EV means you've got 3G speeds.

I think there's a preware patch to change the icon to just say 3G if you're so inclined.

I actually installed after I noticed it wasn't using 3G. Any tips? Because this is beginning to become annoying

    boovish...

First, did you do a Luna restart after applying the top bar patch???

Second, that patch is just cosmetic. EV-DO IS 3g... You have it lit up, just using the CDMA name for a GSM equivalency.

No i just have the 1x lit up. Its very strange because on my old chocolate and KIN had full EV-DO at my house. Also yes I did do a Luna restart.
Having slow data is a big problem seeing how i use navigation a lot.

Have you checked in phone properties if you have option to disable/enable evdo?
  12. #12
I remember there was a key sequence to check that... was it ##DATA#?

Long time ago I had a similar issue (this was when I was till using the Pre), switching it to 1X then back to EVDO works.

Did you dial *228 to update the PRL?

Sorry should be ##EVDO#... ##DATA# is for configuring the data settings.

Change down to 1xRTT then back to Hybrid Rev A.
