So after several months with my Pixi, I've finally decided to go ahead and see what this Preware business is about. I have to say, so far the experience has not eased any of my worries about doing so.

Step one was to put my Pixi in developer mode. I do the Konami code thing, flip developer mode on, and press restart. My phone shuts down, comes back up with the pulsing Palm logo, and has been there for a solid half hour.

Surely it's not supposed to take this long. Is it?

Not sure if I should attempt to interrupt the bootup process, or if I should just let it fail when the battery dies.
    Touchscreens are a fad.

3 hours later... Still booting. Took the battery out, restarted, and it came up fine. But now when I try to run novaterm, I get an overflow error every time I press a key. I think this is maybe a sign it wasn't meant to be.
