Whenever I would go on a website on my Pixi (gsm), like webos internals or someother website( google works), it says "bad request" idk what that means. Can anybody tell me?

    You need:
    1. Your Doctor (if you are a Verizon user, download the Verizon one, if you are on sprint, use the sprint one).
    2. Your Pixi already on 2.1
    3. Open Your doctor with a archive manager (winzip, winrar, 7zip, etc)
    4. Search for the file palm-build-info, inside the Doctor, I posted where it is (inside the Doctor)
    5. In a cygwin shell type:
    novacom get file://etc/palm-build-info > palm-build-info-2.1
this will give you a palm-build-info-2.1 file in that directory
    6. Open this file, leave the first line alone and change the other lines with the ones that are in the doctor file
    7. Save the file as palm-build-info-fixed
    8. In the cygwin shell type:
    novacom put file://etc/palm-build-info < palm-build-info-fixed
    9. Go to Device Info - Reset Options - Erase apps and data, and login again
9.1 You can also relogin with impostah I think
    Hey,

I put my Pixi running 2.1 in recovery mode and tried this.

    When I type: novacom get file://etc/palm-build-info > palm-build-info-2.1
I get: bad or error response from other side: 'err -1 unrecognized command'

When I try with another file, for instance: novacom get file://klog > test.txt
    Then it works.

Do you know what that could mean?
    Thanks a lot.

Did I mention at any moment that you should put your Pixi in recovery mode?

    Whoops, I assumed so
However, when it is just on (in USB mode or in charging mode), it says:
    "unable to find device"

Do I need to do something else?

PS: I'm using a Mac if is matters.

You need to enable developer mode

"Dial" #*DEVMODE# if it's GSM or ##DEVMODE# if it's CDMA

Thanks for your help, the get file command worked.

However, I ran into an another problem (hopefully the last):

    When I do
    novacom put file://etc/palm-build-info < palm-build-info-fixed
    It says
bad or error response from other side: 'file open failed'

I chmod'ed it to 777, same result. The file was edited with TextEdit.
    Sorry to bother you

Edit: I eventually found a solution

Before typing "put file...", I typed:
    novacom run file://usr/sbin/rootfs_open -t
    as found here: forums.precentral.net/2895648-post2108.html
And I don't know how, but it worked. My Palm Profile now displays 1.40.50.

I can't get the Makefile to work. I renamed the file to "Makefile" and I got rid of the file extension so it is just a file named Makefile. My Pixi Plus is in Recovery Mode with a USB icon and connected to the computer. I have all the files in the directory exactly how it says down to how it is named and everything. I have navigated to the correct folder in the MacOSX terminal. Bit when I type in "make install" all I get is "-bash: make: command not found". What am I doing wrong?

You need to have the "make" program installed.
Install Xcode from the Mac App Store, and you're good to go.

I got it to work but when it got finished it said:
    Installation Done. Rebooting
bad or error response from other side: ''
    make[1]: *** [restoreall] Error 1
    make: *** [install] Error 2
    What did I do wrong?

    EDIT:
-I named all the files exactly how they are supposed to. What I did for the Doctor is I took the Verizon Pixi Plus doctor and named it the att name you said to name it.
-The phone was in recovery mode
-And everything else, I have read through and it seems that I did everything correct....

That's what happened to me. But weirdly, my Pixi Plus ATT is working fine.

    I am working on one.

Also, all you really need to do is go do Nutty's blog post. It's pretty straightforward from there.

EDIT: I have a mac, but it is the same thing on cygwin and linux.

After many installs of screen capture software, None of them work..
Found one that works, time to make video!!

Made the video: no audio, might be a *little* slow.

It's uploading, I will post link when its done.

    And the video is live!

It should take about 5 minutes max. Try putting your pixi in recovery mode and try again. If it still does that, just keep trying?

Are you using cygwin, mac? Do you have a ATT Pixi?
