I had read something that suggested that once a device is register once it won't have the Catalog if registered again. True?

I haven't the first clue. But my ignorant mind would assume that is false.

Yes, it is false. It will have the catalog, but it will be restricted to where the device was first activated. So, if it was activated in Germany, originally, you won't get access to the U.S. catalog.

If it doesn't, it will never (under normal circumstances).

Having a valid credit card from the first activation region is your next point of concern.

I'm using an unlocked Pixi in Canada. It was activated in the USA so I have the full USA catalogue.

Are you using the unlocked pixi on a Canadian CDMA carrier or just as a Wi-Fi only device?
