Thanks for all your excellent efforts so far, everyone DC, you said that your phone ran Uber smoothly at 787 earlier, so I suspect that with Warthog sched mod it should run just fine also, but it will be interesting to see the output.

dkfstr, I think screenstate is a Pre-only thing. The Pixi uses different hardware, so the screenstate would have to be recoded to use that. It's probably best to ask Rod, he might respond on here, but if not just shoot him a PM and I'm sure you'll get an answer.

I don't think it's all CDMA phones cuz I'm running at 800 smooth with out the mod so far but it's just the start of the day lol I'll update it tonight but so far it nice (: and try turning off developer mode it help me a buch cuz I was having a little lag then I turned it of and presto it was fine so mabey it's that or just I got lucky lol

Dev mode does seem to be a factor- though i think it might be a CDMA thing. My O2 GSM Pixi's been running with dev mode on all along and has been smooth as silk. I just turned it off, so I'll start another sched mod benchmark tomorrow.

Good data, thanks is your developer mode turned on or off? That seems to be a new factor in all this.

Can all future test reports include the status of their developer mode switch? Thank you.

I will post a detailed report of my experiences tomorrow evening. However, would like to add I'm experiencing phone restarts on the 800 mhz warthog kernel with the verizon Pixi Plus.

Quick question about inputting the sched paramaters from the stock into warthog. Do I need to copy these parameters into Warthog every time I restart my phone? Because that's what I have been doing.

Wow. It's so much smoother switching between launcher pages now.. Will this be wiped away after a reboot?

And if someone could try to explain this to me, what exactly does this change?
  16. #636
Yes, it will be gone after a reboot and needed to be done again unless you script it into one of the boot scripts, see my posts a few pages back on how to do this.

It changes the kernel scheduling parameters for how it handles various aspects of priority when dealing with processes.

Thats the joy of a linux box its kernel configuration can be changed on the fly to your hearts content. Which is one of the many freedoms of linux.

DC, I applaud your initiative proving that the VZW pixi doesn't handle 800mhz well is something that will lead somewhere i think. Especially thanks to dkfstr's Sprint data; there must be something specific about the VZW Pixi Plus that makes it unstable. The only differences I can think of are the CDMA radio, there's always the WiFi that the Sprint Pixi lacks, but I wouldn't think that it'd have such a big effect as the radio.

Can anyone with relatively deep system/specs knowledge see if there's any difference between the Sprint and VZW radios?
