What is the best way to quit a frozen app?
Is rebooting the phone (Square+Sym+R) my only choice?

.. Apologies if I am using the wrong terminology
.. Tried searching this forum (very frustrating..)
    .. I don't have any mods

The app is frozen, therefore will not minimize.

if you turn on the advanced nav option, can you swipe between apps?

if you cant move to card view and/or swipe between apps, I think that could indicate the phone is locking up, and perhaps not just an individual app. Is this happening with a specific app? I would definitely delete any app I suspected of locking up my phone...

It usually occurs with the Engadget app, and sometimes if I have google maps and another app, such as web, open.
I never get the "Too many cards" error, just always this total frozen screen/no response. Can't move into card view at all, but I can lock/unlock the phone.

Anyway just seeing if any other option other than restart

whenever my pre does this, I just hit the middle button (these are the only times I press this button lol) and it works.

So it depends on what device you have.
