I noticed my phone was getting hot also, but off touchstone too. Umm, i found a page with the info, i think it was a wiki. I'll look again in morning.

Suzuki I set the advance setting to

    I/O Scheduler - deadline
    TCP Congestion - westwood

and my pixi is coasting a little quicker and better
I'll leave my phone on these setting and report back... as of right now 2 thumbs up

Sweet, i'll try also. The only thing is that when you restart your phone those settings go away. Thanks for the heads up.

YEA... your right about the restart resetting the advance settings

it only resets the advance setting not the Uber Kernel settings

    interesting???

    Oh my performance setting

    CPU frequency - performance
    min freq 122.8 MHz
    max freq 600 MHz
    compcache 24mb
    I/O Scheduler - deadline
    TCP Congestion -westwood

my pixi is opening larger pages quicker and downloading large vids faster
love it (reminder this setting sucks battery life quicker)

save both settings a performance profile and Suzuki's setting and switch to performance
when you have your charger near and use Suzuki's when out and about

Is there still a compcache setting with the new updated Govnah release? I can't seem to find that setting anywhere? Also with the new release can someone post their settings with all the new options and stuff? Thanks guys.

    I use

    Governor: ondemand
    Min Freq:122.88 MHz
    Max Freq: 600 MHz
    Sampling Rate: 0.1 freq
    Up Threshold: 60%
    Ignore Nice Load: false
    Powersave Bias: 0
    Compcache Enabled: true
    Compcache Memlimit: 24 mb
    advance settings
    I/O Scheduler - deadline
    TCP Congestion -westwood

but when when near a charger

    Governor: performance
    min freq 122.8 MHz
    max freq 600 MHz
    compcache 24mb
    advance settings
    I/O Scheduler - deadline
    TCP Congestion -westwood

click the profiles and you'll found the compcache setting in there
  9. #49
I figured it out. It's becuase I didn't download UberKernel. I thought it came as a package with Govnah but I was mistaken. I cannot get the sampling rate to change as it will always stay at .2 for me or 200000 in the settings.

How do I change the sampling rate?

What's the thinking behind setting the Min freq setting when using the performance governor? Doesn't the performance one keep it at 600 all the time? I'm still learning about this.

YEA the performance setting does keep it at 600MHz

I just never change the min freq

oh IF you use the perfornance setting you might want to change the profile
to another setting when charging (touchstone)
the performace setting seems to heat the pixi to 105-106 degrees while charging

I just set the govnah to plam's default setting and it stays at 99 degrees

Yeah I noticed the heat when I first installed UK and tried to use performance, I keep it on a TS most of the day at work. Didn't really notice a real big difference using the performance governor so just stuck with the ondemand. I would love to see a screenstate governor for the Pixi though.

there's a noticeable difference between the ondemand and performance on my phone performance loads the pages a lot quicker and the apps quicker
  14.    #54
I'd love to use performance but i use my phone too much. ondemand does just fine for me. This newest update seems snappier though.

using suzki's settings with i/o scheduler: noop (optimized for flash-based storage) and tcp congestion: westwood (optimized for lossy networks)
  16.    #56
To start out with, I can't be bothered right now with the I/O Scheduler and TCP Congestion settings because I restart my phone every so often, so i just keep them stock.

With this performance setting i had these settings:
    Governor - Performance
    Min Freq - 600.00 MHz
    Max Freq - 600.00 MHz
    Compcache Enabled - True
    Compcache Memlimit- 24mb
    I/O Scheduler - CFQ
    TCP Congestion - Cubic

    Palm Default
    Compcache of 24

    And my "Perfect" profile
    Governor - ondemand
    Min Freq - 122.88 MHz
    Max Freq - 600 MHz
    Sampling Rate - 0.1 Sec
    Up threshold - 60%
    Ignore Nice Load - False
    Powersave Bias - 0
    Compcache of 24

I noticed that the battery dies faster (not horrificly) with the newer uberkernel than it did before. I don't know why this is, but it also seems snappier. I think i'm going to try it with the palm default and see how battery life is. Has anybody come up with better settings? How's your battery life?

why so many reboots? Or do you just do it once a day
  18.    #58
I do it once or twice a day, depending on how much i use my phone. just something i've always done lol .

    Suzuki,

I tried your settings, but every time I set my compcache to true (16 or 24mb) it sets it back to disabled after I hit apply. I've tried creating multiple profiles. I can set everything else except for that! Any ideas? I'm running an AT&T Pixi+

Thanks for all the previous posts! I really want to get rid of this one card open "too many cards" error!!!

EDIT::: Rebooted my phone again, and it allowed me to save the compcache setting!
