I was just wondering if all the applications for the pre have to be updated for use with the pixi?

It is actually fairly simple to incorporate varying screen sizes in WebOs at current. Most apps should be able to be scaled just fine.

Topple Ball has not scaled for me on the Pixi. That said, it is still playable.

Sorry for the delay on your question. The developer would be resposible for doing this. Palm sent out a notification to all developers regarding this. My guess is that most waited for the SDK with Pixi support came out.

Actually, I checked out the Pixi and Pre in store. The Pre's App Catalog had about 375 and the Pixi's had about 295. They are certainly filtering those apps that don't support the different resolution.

You are correct. Apps that haven't been resubmitted with support for the smaller screen size are not on the Pix App Catalog

In a lot of cases, provided the developer uses the appropriate techniques and the application UI is suitable, WebOS could adjust to the different screen sizes itself. (eg - not using absolute pixel values to position controls etc.)

There was a bit of a glitch - Card Ace wasn't marked as a Pixi-compatible game (though it should have been). It's been fixed, and the game should be live in your App Catalog.

    Thanks!
