From everything I've read, I don't think any of them are particularly good. Maybe if the Opera folks get things figured out for the Treo, we may have salvation.

Does anybody know if they lousy speed Blazer exhibits is due to an underpowered processor or just a sucky rendering engine? It can't be the download rate, since using the Treo as a modem for my laptop with dial-up networking with Sprint, surfing with Firefox is perfectly acceptable.

Is there a version of Picsel Browser that's compatible with the Treo 650? If so, what is the best source?

    It's the rendering engine/processor.

Xiino is also a fast browser. I like it for loading big pages, or pages with lots of images etc.

problem with xiino is no small font support. You have the choice between huge and large.... which I just find stupid on a so small screen.

That was my major gripe with xiino as well but I have fixed this with Fonts4OS5 and tahoma 16 font.

Blazer looks the best but is the absolute slowest...ironic considering it's name.

Xiino is fast but looks like complete crap.

Opera mini is fast, but not very user firiendly, and requires the 2 MB Java VM installed.

    Haven't tried picsel....yet.

i would pay if you tell me how to get webpro to work on treo 650. It freezes or resets treo upon exiting it.

    I tried webpro 3.5 patched v2
    webpro 3.5 pathed v3

both worked on treo 600, but not 650.
If you have a working version of webpro please pm me i would really love to try it.

miniOpera works, but it's very clumsy.

Xiino with fonts4os5 works pretty well, though I find that BOLD characters appear in the normal system font. There's no denying that it is really really fast. I'll be checking this out for the next month.

I seem to recall that Xiino costs quite a bit, though...
