I gave up looking for a camcorder app a long time ago. So I was giddy when I found Mmovie. I can record to my card (or internal)-Play back-Export as .AVI onto card-use PDA2PC or a card reader to move file to my PC. Now I can take quick videos and post them to my website without hasstle.
BTW can take an .AVI move from my computer and watch on my Treo 600 also.

Is the quality any better than the built in camcorder?

Does Mmovies export its films WITH SOUND to .AVI?

I use free Rad Tools Blink to conver to avi. You may also need the QuickTime codec to convert 3g.

    Rad Tools Blink and Smak

Free codec that allows the conversion from 3g (treo format)

Thanks, truly. But Mmovie says part of its built-in program has a function to convert movies to AVI. However, I just did this and it seemed to do so without the sound.

Im not a genius but the link I gave to the codex is what you need to convert from 3g (phone video)

A converter isnt an all in one solution. There are umpteen gagillion different formats so a converter dosent include every type of codex. A user has to pick the type of codex they need based on their formats and download it as an extra. The link I gave is a link to codex needed to convert the format that the treo uses, 3g.

When to Export select .AVI, IT will give you the option for sound.

It exports to your SD card. Then use a card reader and that's it. No converters or anything.

If you have movies on your computer, you can convert them to .AVI and size them to 160x160 and then watch them using Mmovie. TCMAP does that to though.

Mmovie is pretty herky-jerky and speeded up. Any way to adjust the speed?
