What is the cost to register 2Dial?
    Pilot 5K->Palm IIIc->Tungsten T/T2->Treo 650/680 -> Pre+ (1.4.5 & Uberkernel)

The Cost is $7.95 I Ordered mine this morning.

Shimon I was wondering if in a future version if one of the buttons can be used to turn speaker phone on and off. I found that I like the speaker on but there are cases where I would like to be able to change the normal state of the speaker.

    Thanks

    Hi,

Problem is I tried, but could not find how to maniupulate the SpeakerPhone state programatically...
(I know I do it after an answer, but that's cause the dialer screen is still on...)

Need some help. I would like this to work for all voicemails with the same profile. How do I get it to do that? How do I get the dial to appear? Is there a manual?

    Shimon,

Nice app. I downloaded the trial yesterday and have been tinkering with it. I also thought it would be nice to be able to either copy a profile or define multiple numbers to the same profile. I have a work, home and cell voice mail and would like to have the same profile for all of them. I know I can make another same profile with the same settings, and probably will do that, but it would be nice to use the same one.

But I also was thinking it would be nice to be able to search contacts to input the phone number. Right now I don't think its possible with this app--unless I'm missing something.

Anyway, another good one. Now I'm using four of your apps on my Treo.

I am running 2dial on a T600 and have Butler installed with the side volume buttons enabled to switch to previous/next application. The problem is that after 2dial launches, I am unable to adjust my volume as using the volume buttons switches me the previous (down) or next (up) app. Anyway to overide this without disabling the Butler switch function.

Okay, I wanted to revise this as I now realize how silly the request is. You wouldn't link multiple phone numbers to the same profile since most different VM systems use different access codes. But it would still be nice to be able to copy a profile so the buttons would be the same and then we could go in and rename the new one and define the new codes. The point is to have the same buttons for common functions (2=save, 3=delete, etc) across profiles.

    Hi,

I will add a "Clone" option. Right now you can "Export", then "Import".

Regarding contact lookup - if you select the "Contact" (last) icon, you should have a "Lookup" button at the bottom.

    Thanks !

Isnt there an option in Butler to disable this in specific apps ?

Perfect! I didn't realize this would copy the whole profile. I think this will do for most people as long as its spelled out in the Help file.

Sorry, should have been more clear. I meant it would be good to have a lookup to define the number in the "If an outgoing call to the number..." field.

    Thanks for the speedy response!

By the way, there's a typo (Auto-activae) in the info file.

    Great idea !

Only thing would be I will have to issue a warning there that the number should be edited to look EXACTLY as it appears on the "active call" screen...

You only have the option to have it ignore launchers. The button is automatically disabled in the phone app (works as normal volume button), but in 2dial it behaves as in switching mode

That just means you'd have to take off any additional characters that have been appended to the number, right? I tried it as a straight numeric, then with hyphens, then with parens around the area code and it recognized the number every time.

You know what else I thought would be cool. Have TAKEphONE recognize 2Dial and create a shortcut to 2Dial on the Find screen. Or, you could have it as another option to loop through with the phone button.

I just had a case where I needed to look up a contact when I was on a call so I went to TAKEphONE via the phone button, looked up the number, but then I had to press the Home button, find the 2Dial app and launch it to continue the call. I guess I could create a shortcut to 2Dial but all of my hard buttons are being used by other apps.

Anyway, just something to think about.

Afraid we will have to ask Rob to help here...
Maybe he can add 2day to his list of "launchers" ?

In TAKEphONE's "Using the PHONE button", you can add "External app" to the loop, and set it to 2dial.

    Shimon,

Do you think there'd be a way to invoke the internal "hang up" command? It seems that currently I have to either enter a numeric tone sequence or else go to the 'current call' screen to end a call. The problem I have with my home VM is that depending on where I am in the VM menus the dial sequence to end the call might be different.
