I have been using my 650 for a few months, and I just noticed that my shortcuts are gone. THere is not even a way to edit new ones, under preferences, like there used to.

Anyone know a way around this, or a way to edit my shortcuts? I have looked everywhere for the answer.

    Thank you.

They are still there, you just can't edit them anymore, plus you need Graffiti Anywhere to enable wrting on the screen.

Or you could try ShortCut5 which is freeware

    Thought of the day :
No sense being pessimistic, it probably wouldn't work anyway

I don't need to write on the screen to edit. I just want what was mine.

ShortCut5 is a great substitute for the old Shortcuts facility...but it's a bit of a resource hog. Either use it, or install these two files to your Treo: they'll give you back the familiar Shortcuts facility in preferences. Realize, however, that to invoke the shortcut symbol on the Treo, you have to type:

    s<alt><alt><alt><alt><space>

Download the files to your card (not to the /Palm/Launcher/ directory), copy them to RAM and perform a soft reset.

Thank you so much. I will try your zip file.

However, I thought if you type the s key, and then the alt key, the shortcut symbol is the third choice, and you can use the 5 way to activate it.

    Thanks again.

You can, but it's just faster to stick with the alt key and then pop over to the space key - same number of presses, just faster.

THank you, again. What directory, on the card, should I copy them to?

It doesn't matter, just not /Palm/Launcher; the point is to then copy them to RAM and follow up with a soft reset.
