Does anyone know how Backupman stores it's data. I can't seem to find the backup data files on my memory card. Also, in the case of a failure of my Treo 650; how do I restore the files - because Backupman would not be available on a hard reset of my Treo. Do I launch Backupman from my SD card? However, whenever I try to launch Backupman from my SD card currently, it says I can't do it. Any idea of how this works?

When you first install Back Up Man it installs itself into both RAM and your SD card so that in the event of a hard reset you still have a copy to run a restore with.

When you launch Back Up Man from the SD card you just get a warning telling you it can not only be stored on the SD card for scheduled back ups to work.

The back up files are stored on the SD card in PALM, PROGRAMS, BACKUP MAN.

I cannot see that my card has anybackup data on it. I only see the program. In fact,
the size of the program on my card is 115K while the size of the Backupman program on my Tro is 121K making me think where's the data? So how do I tell that Backupman is actually backing up my Treo? On my Sony Clie - the data was actually shown on the card.

It's there, I think they use some format which is not easily readable without using the program itself, so yes, you will need to launch Backupman from the SD card to access the data.

Under palm/programs/backupman you'll see a lot of strange files.

I got a replacement treo, popped in my sd card, launched backupman from the sd card and restored. That is all it takes.
