I did and well, it wasn't that good (IMHO). First of all, it just didn't work despite all my efforts. It wouldn't connect via a ppp connection. I'll try later with a wireless modem though. I sent email to tech support and well, I clearly stated I was using a landline modem and they told me to just try again. Well, I did about 50 times. It's promissing but needs work... and IMAP support.

Has anyone had better luck than me?

I can receive mail just fine but keep getting an error whenever trying to send . I've been in contact with tech support and am waiting to hear back from them.

The program has promise... I like the fact that, unlike MultiMail, I can send(?) and receive all accounts at the same time. Hopefully, they'll work the bugs out because I like what I've seen so far. Plus, it's much more reasonably priced!

Does it limit the length of incoming email messages like all the other programs? I read several lists in digest form and they get cut off at some maximum length.

    Thanks!

    Hmmm... good question...

There's an option to retrieve headers only or entire messages but there is nothing anywhere (in the app or manual) that states message size limits.

The message limit for iambic Mail is basically the largest allocation that the Palm OS itself allows: for Palm OS 3.0 and above, maximum message size is 32,000 characters; for Palm OS 2.0, it is 4,000 characters.

MikeD, the issue you experienced is likely a problem of connectivity, not the program. The reason for this is in working with e-mail programs (I don't think this applies across the board, but it does with many), it is up to the handheld/modem/wireless device to make the connection with the ISP, etc. Once the connection is established, it is then up to iambic Mail to get your data through that connection properly and know how to work with that connection. It might help to think of it this way... if you use Outlook for example on your PC and your mail server is down, your e-mail isn't going through as a result of a problem with the connection, not the program. It's basically the same thing here. The connection is first established by the Palm OS device and whatever wireless solution you are using and then the e-mail program takes over from there.

    I hope that helps!
